Dear Skier Parents, Friends, Families and Students:
What a great honor it is to be the Principal of such an outstanding educational community!
In my short time here, I have experienced what it means to have parents, staff and community members that are engaged as partners in the education of all students. My family and I have been unhesitatingly accepted by the Aspen community and the welcome we have received has eased any potential difficulties that may have resulted in our transition from Ohio. We are so thrilled to be joining a warm and caring school environment and I look forward to working with each of you this year and many years to come. Please feel free to call or stop by for a visit. If you have questions or any thoughts you wish to share, please do not hesitate to contact me.
It has already become apparent to me that the staff of Aspen High School is dedicated to providing the highest quality of education for the students of Aspen High. We believe in working as partners with parents and the community to provide a positive school environment where children feel safe, valued and respected. Students are held to high expectations and are continually challenged to develop their optimal academic, social and personal potential.
Once parents begin to volunteer on a regular basis, I look forward to seeing how teachers are supported to enrich our school community in a way that is comprehensive, diverse, and challenging for our students. I truly believe strong partnerships between parents and staff lead to academic success for all students. We appreciate parents who support and defend the work of classroom teachers. Parent involvement is a key component of the rich story of academic success and achievement that lives at Aspen High.
ASD has a reputation of excellence and I feel fortunate to join a school culture focused on student achievement. I look forward to meeting you, and invite you to attend monthly principal chats, parent conferences and academic events, or just stop by.
Again, I am thrilled about being a member of this wonderful community.
